Hi, I'm Bart.

I started as a TV journalist in Canada. Since then I've made video, podcasts and content in Australia, Sweden and Denmark, mostly for B2B teams.

The story so far

2012 – 2016 Newcap TV · Lloydminster, Alberta

The newsroom

After a radio and television diploma, I spent almost four years as a reporter, producer and senior anchor. I anchored the daily 5 PM newscast, interviewed politicians and local leaders, reported to a hard deadline, and stepped in as interim news director.

2016 – 2018 Brisbane, Australia

From news to communications

I studied public relations and communications in Brisbane while working in media. I led the Burning Questions video series for a university research centre, directed documentary and digital content for a student publication, and interviewed coaches and officials for Queensland Rugby League.

2018 – 2022 Alberta Innovates · Edmonton

Digital media for innovation

Back in Canada, I ran Alberta Innovates’ websites and social channels, worked on a company-wide rebrand, made videos for campaigns, and produced and edited the Shift Podcast, a bi-weekly show about innovation in Alberta.

2020 – 2023 Hub AI · Lund, Sweden

A move to Sweden

In Lund I led public relations for Hub AI, a community connecting students, academia and industry around artificial intelligence, and later served as co-founder and board member.

2022 – 2024 Growblocks · Copenhagen

B2B content, start to finish

First as copywriter, then as content marketing manager, I made blogs, ebooks, case studies and video product demos, and ran video production from script to edit. I ran the Growblocks Substack newsletter, which grew from zero to 3,000+ subscribers with a 45%+ open rate, and I produced the video and podcast that became The Revenue Formula, a show that started at Growblocks and grew into its own thing after I left.

2025 – now GetWhy

Video and podcasts for a research platform

Today I’m content marketing manager at GetWhy, an AI-powered qualitative research platform, where I also produce the podcast. [What you have made there so far.]
